Typography Explorations

Typography Explorations

Typography, Layout Design

I believe it’s important to create design that captures a viewer’s eye. Through this 13 week typographic exercise where we had strict rules to follow each week. Towards the end of the semester, the rules loosened and we were able to create amazing layouts (featured below). I learned how to be experimental with unique fonts and different vibes, while following the basic rules of typography to create beautiful pieces.

Conclusion

I love typography, and that is something I honestly could not have said a few years ago. I learned how to have fun with type and unique fonts, but more importantly how to create a system of hierarchy and embrace contrast, layout design, and strategic thinking.
